Overview

Sheikh Nasser Almutawa Alotaibi, the Chairman of SAMAMA Group, joined the Ministry of Health (‘MOH’) in Saudi Arabia in 1972 as Manager of the Engineering Department. During his tenure, the MOH initiated the huge program of building hundreds of hospitals and clinics across the Kingdom which was overseen by Sheikh Nasser and his colleagues. He left the MOH in 1979 after a successful stint to pursue his personal ambitions which took the shape of SAMAMA Group.

SAMAMA foundation was laid by Sheikh Nasser in 1980 soon after he left the MOH. The vision of the Company was to provide operation and maintenance services to the healthcare, education, aviation, civil and defense facilities of the Government. Today SAMAMA employs more than 20,000 employees and it has spread its activities from an operation and maintenance management company to a more diversified group engaged in construction, real estate, technology, finance, insurance and hospitality sectors.
